GIRL GUIDE CAMP
KAUPOKONUI BEACH. Yesterday the camp on the site kindly lent by Mr. F. Gamlin presented an animated appearance. lvro-m the high ground near the roadway the appearance of the camp is picturesque. In a Well sheltered spot the tents are ranged in a semicircle, flanked with Mr. Sylvester’s cottage on the left and Mr, Gamlin’s cottage on the right. The site is well chosen as it is on rising ground and is well sheltered. Ihe Union Jack is hoisted daily by a Colour .Party in a prominent position. The Guiders in camp represent companies at Hawera, Manaia, fetratloicl, Kaponga and Opunake. The Guides m camp are patrol leaders and seconds from the four Hawera Companies, who are receiving outdoor training for theii Pioneer Badge. , , To-morrow, Sunday, will be visitors day at the camp, when parents and friends will be welcome. Arrangements have been made for the girls to attend Divine Service in the morning at their own Churches in Manaia to-mor-row. Faster Sunday.
