LIFE-SAVING.

SCHOOL CHILDREN EXAMINED. Upwards of 50 pupils- of the Hawera Main School were presented for examination for the elementary certificate of the Royal Life Saving Society this morning, the proceedings being conducted in the. town baths. Mr J. J. Pease acted as examiner and expressed satisfaction with the work of the children. The following qualified: Boys.—Clifford Parkinson, Colin Nicholas. Ron Bucklaud, Fred Dallingor.
