UNEMPLOYMENT AT DUNEDIN
(By Yelegraph —Vreas Association.) .DUNEDIN, Feb. 28. A register prepared by trades hall officers shows that there are 295 out of work in the city. MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES STRIKE. BROKEN”HILL, Feb. 28. As the result of a strike among members of the Municipal Employees Union, electricity works and sanitary services are at a standstill. The stiikc is a protest against a man being employed who is not a unionist. Within a few days fresh supplies of meat will be available. The general hospital an other buildings were plunged in darkness when the electricity supply was cut off. UMPIRES FOR FIFTH TEST. MELBOURNE. Feb. 98. Umpires for the fifth test will be a Hele (South Australia) and A .Tones (New South Wales) the latter replacing D. Elder.
