ATTEMPT PROBABLY TO-MORROW (By Telegraph—Press Association.; BLENHEIM, Jan. 31. Miss Copplestone is going down to the Sound to-day preparatory, if the opportunity offers, to making an effort to swim the Strait to-morrow morning. TO SWIM AT NIGHT. MISS COPPLESTONE’,S PLANS.

BLENHEIM, Jan., 31. This morning Miss Copplestone left by launch lor Te Awaite, near the entrance of Tory Channel, where she and her party are the guests of Air. W. Toms, the well-known whaler. If the wind and weather conditions are favourable. it is likely that Miss Copplestone wifil set off on her long swim at midnight to-night, the tide being then favourable. Should; the weather prohibit to-night’s attempt, the swimmer will remain at Te Awaite. until to-nior-rour iiighfi. in' the hope that conditions will prove propitious.
