OPERA 'HOUSE —TO-NIGHT. "TIN HATS.” Let your imagination run riot as to what laughs there 'would be in a story like this—with these brilliant stars — with this amazing director—and even then you will hardly do it justice. "Tin Hats,” which commences at the Hawera Opera House to-night, is claimed to be the most consistently tunny comedy in years. That’s a big statement —but every detail of the picture proves it. Stars? There's Conrad Nagel, amazingly Versatile and eonvulsingly funny comedian who created a fufore with "There You Are,” and last year drew a delightful following with his artistry in "Sun Up,” "The Only Thing” and "Lights of Old Broadway.” There’s Claire Windsor, the regal beauty whose light comedy ability has been revealed, as a new and fascinating facet to her sparkling talent. Those who saw "The White Desert,” "The Dixie Handicap,” and ."Money Talks —what screen fan missed them—were, captivated by her charm. To complete the cast there are Bert Roach, rotund and arid Tom O’Brien, who perpetuated his screen name in "The Big Parade,” and George Cooper, an unrivalled laughmaker. And to cap the lot, it was both written and directed by Edward Sedgwick—creator of "There You Are.” Her-e is where you get the. laugh of a lifetime. "Tin Hats” builds up all the while to an uproarious climax—and then stops at the right moment. The box plan is at Miss Blake’s sweet shop.
