Horatio liottoinley was awarded £ 1 500 damages and costs in the King’s Bench Court against Henry James Houston in connection with a book published by Messrs Hirst Blackett ami Go. who paid damages as agreed upon between the parties, after a jury had disagreed in a ease heard last .July. Mr Houston did not appear to-dav to contest the ease. Formerly the proprietor and editor of the journal “John Bull.” and a, wellknown finalncier, Air Bottom ley was -on vie ted of fraud n: connection wrh “S’ftory Bonds" and was sentenced to a term of imprisonment. Since his release he has. announced Ids invention of taking proceedings against those responsible for attacks upon him, some of which were made during his incareel a tion.
