OPERA HOUSE—TO-MORROW

“THE LAST COMMAND.’

The brilliance of the great German screen player, Emil Jannings, seems to influence other members, of the cast in “The Last Command,” which is to commence at the Opera House to-mor-row, Wednesday. In a marvellous finale, living his life again in a motion picture scene, Jannings reaches the heights of dramatic acting. He is the only screen actor who can paint a character in strong colours with the use of pastel tints. It is a story of the red revolt in Russia, showing Jannings as a mighty general, strictly military, but beloved by liis. men. He befriends a girl but imprisons her companion, the girl in turn saving him from death at the hands of tlie revolutionists. He then goes to America in search of his fair saviour, and at this stage the thread of the story takes a strange twist. The exceptional supporting cast is headed by William Powell and Evelyn Brent. The season is for three nights and the box plan is at Miss. Blake’s sweet shop.
