The Pope has recommended the bishops to condemn superstition, notably the prejudice against 13, Tuesdays and Fridays, which are popularly ' regarded as unlucky. The Pope would have the church restore those days to favour and to absolve tliirteens of supposedly sinister influences. He says that it is mostly the country clergy who foster these beliefs.
