Lieut’. Reid, who has been appointed' to duties in connection with the Salvation Army Boys’ Home, arrived in Eitham oil Saturday.
Mr. W. R. Moon, manager of a large milk supply and dairy company in Brisbane, is at present on a tour of Taranaki inspecting the various dairies throughout the province. During his sojourn in Hawera 1 lie is a guest at the Central Hotel.
The deatli is announced from Melbourne of Mr Justice Higgins, of the High Court of Australia. He died suddenly from a paralytic stroke at his home at Dloninne. aged 78. He had been in good health. He is survived by a widow, his only son having been killed at the War.
