FIRE AT TE KUITI.
WORKMAN BADLY INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TE KuriT. Jan. 14. As the result of an explosion of a blow lamp; a fire occurred in- the twostore v wooden premises of A. Blackman, undertaker, at 10 'a.m. to-day. The fire completely destroyed the. upper portion of the building and contents, comprising a cabinetmakers’ plant.. Amos Augustus Avery, a plumber, who was working in the building with ’Blackman, was j limbed ill the door whilst attempting to escape and was .shockingly burned all over the body Fears are entertained for his life Blackman escaped without injury. The brigade had a hard fight of over an hour before the fire was suppressed.. /The bnicling. was insured for £275.
