ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
DEATH FROM TYPHOID. (By Telegraph—Pres3 Association.) HAMILTON, Jan. 12. Recently five t.vxnhoid satie-jutc from the Waikeria Borstal Institution were admitted to the Waikato Hospital. One died on December 30, and another, Frederick Logie, whose father is said to reside in Christchurch, died last night. The inquest was held to-day. WATER SEDER’S FATAL FALL. AUCKLAND, Jan. 11. A watersider named Jack/ Malley, aged 70, fell into a hold of the Tainaroa this afternoon, receiving injuries from which he died. Malley, who jvas married, had worked for the Shaw Savill Company for 45 years. YOUTHFUL MOTOR DRIVER KILLED. WAIPAWA. Jan. 12. 'Hugh Spots wood, aged 16, was killed through the capsize of a lorry, on the Tamumu Road. The deceased, who was learning to drive pulled off to the side of the road to allow a car to pass, but misjudged the distance, and the lorry went over the bank, somersaulting and pinning Spotswood underneath, causing a fracture of the skuM.
