An analysis of the Commonwealth population for the ton years i 'll 7 to 1927, compiled! by the Common wealth ■Statistician, shows that the population ha,s increased by 1,252,791, to (1,254,854 representing an average. iute of increase of 2.27 per cent, per annum.
