OPUNAKE SURF CLUB.
SPECIAL MEETING. CARNIVAL PREPARATIONS. Matters in connection with the carnival to bo held "by .the Opumaike Surf Club on February 2 were dealt with at a special general meeting of the club on Tuesday, when Mr J. N. Stephenson presided over a good attendance. It was' resolved to hold the carnival in the afternoon, and working bees (will •bo arranged Ito repair (the staging and molding all necessary preparations.. A proposal made to hold the carnival oni the lake in the evening was rejected. The question of the chib’s badge and uniform was discussed and it was agreed to adopt-green as the official colour, and that members who had done belt duty in a life-saving team' should be entitled to weak .the club’s monogram. .
