TOKAORA'S RAINFALL.
FIGURES FOR THE YEARDECREASE DURING 1928. Weather records made available to “The Hawera Star’s” correspondent by Mr. H. Livingston, of Tokaora, siiow that the rainfall for the year 1928 in that district was approximately three and a. half inches less tlian in the previous 12 months, while there was a decrease of 26 days in the number of which rain was recorded, 42.29 inches being measured spread over 152 days in 1928, as compared with 46.82 inches spread over 178 days in 1927. September proved the wettest month of 1928 with a total fall of 6.35 inches' in 21 days. May being next with 5.56 inches in 20 days, and closely followed by December with 5.52 inches in 17 days. During 1927 the highest monthly fall was in May, when 7.15 inches fell in 15 days, November being next with 6.85 inches "in 16 days, though only a small fraction in advance of August, when 6.80 inches were recorded in 21 days.
