HAWKE CUP. MANAWATU v. HAWKE’S BAY. PLAY ON A DULL WICKET. PALMERSTON N., Dec. 26. Hawke’s Bay commenced a Hawke Cup challenge game against Manawatu to-day. Ray was postponed in the morning owing to rain, but was commenced in the afternoon on a dull wicket. Manawatu battedi first and when stumps were drawn had six wickets down for 129. Scoring was slow, the century coming after two hours and 40 minutes. Me Vicar was unbeaten with oo when stumps were drawn. Details are:— , MANAWATU. First Innings.
