INTERESTING NEW VOLUMES. Since the library re-opened after the alterations just over one hundred new volumes have been placed on the shelves. Some books by Ralph Neville rapidly became popular some time ago, and three further volumes by this autho •will be appreciated: “The Sport of Kings, ’ ’ “English Country-house Life, ’ ’ and ‘ ‘ Dayis and Nights in Montmarte and the Latin Quarter. 5 ’ The ever welcome books of travel are well represented fl>y Doughty’s I<l ‘ Wanderings in Arabia”; David-Neel’s “Journey to Lhasa”; Person’s “Sailing Across Europe”; French’s “Recollections of a Western Ranchman”; Hull’s “Camping in the Sahara”; Mackintosh’s ‘‘New Zambesi Trail”; Seton’s “Woman -Tenderfoot in Egypt”; Sidney’s “In British Malaya To-day”; and others. Three books calling for special mention are ‘ ‘(My Life as an Explorer,” by ! S. Heflin; “The First World Flight,” by L. Thomas; and Commander Byrd’s book just published “Skyward.” The last mentioned volume is of particular interest at the present time. “Rifle and Tpmahawk” by a New Zealand author, Mona Tracy, lias also been procured.
