AT HAWERA HOSPITAL.

SISTER FARQUHAR’S WORK RECOGNISED.

At a gathering of the members of the l Women's Division of the Farmers Union yesterday in the Savoy rooms, advantage was taken of the occasion to make a presentation to Sister Farquhar of the Hawera Hospital for her valued nelp m giving lectures to members on nome nursing during the past year. In making a presentation, Mrs Carter, the president, acknowledged with gratitude the good work of Sister Farqunar for the division by her home nursing lectures, which were, she said, an invaluable aid to mothers with tneir children. She added that Sister j? arqunar had been engaged in night work all trie time and had yet. given iter services in tlje afternoon most cheerfully. On benalf of the members Mrs Carter presented Sister Farquhar with an antique tray, prettily engraved. In connection with the lectures Sister Farquhar said she wished to acknowledge the co-operation of the matron, who had always been keen to assist and to allow arrangements to be made for the lectures.
