A special appeal is being made by the British Cycle and Motor Manufacturers and Traders Association to motor-cyclists to assist in popularising tbe two-wheeler, and the following circular has been issued by flic \ ietorian section of tbe Australian branch ol' the association :
Play tbe game. As a motor-cyclist you are interested in removing the impression that unquestionably is held
by a large proportion of tlie public, that motor-cycles are noisy and dangerous. You know that the present-day standard machine is efficiently silenced and perfectly safe to ride. We earnestly appeal to you to demonstrate these facts to the general public by not tampering with your silencer, and by driving your machine quietly and with every consideration for the other users of the highway, lly so doing you will assist to bring to its proper level the greatest of all pastimes.”
