Sheep.—A barely average yarding ot fat sheep came forward. Competition was fairly steady and prices were slightly firmer than last week. Extra heavy prime wethers (shorn) made 35s fid; heavy prime wethers, 345; medium, 37s 9d; light and unfinished, 30s 9d; heavy prime ewes, 28s 9d; lighter, 265; other ewes. 23s 9d. Lambs. —A heavy yarding of spring lambs came forward, for which competition was steady from all quarters. Values were about on a par with last week’s rates. Heavy prime lamb made 29s 3d; medium, 275; light. 21s 9d. Pigs.—Competition for fat pigs was better, prices being very firm at late rates. Heavy baconers made £2 13s to £2 18s; heavy porkers, £2 2s to £2 4s; medium baconers, £2 6s to £2 12s; medium and light porkers, £1 18s to £2 Is; light baconers, £2 3s to £2 ss.
