LEOKIE BEATS RADFORD. (By Telegrapn—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 7. Johnnie Leckie (8.131) beat Norman Radford (Etngland, 8.13) in a match for a purse- of £l5O in the municipal theatre to-night. The referee stopped the fight in the fourteenth round, Radford being out on his feet after a heavy right and left to the jaw. The Englishman was- hopelessly outclassed and only by holding on tenaciously was he able to last so long. Leckie -never seemed fully extended. GREEN v. TAYLOR. NAPIER. Nov. 7. Teddy Green, Australian champion fly-weight, went the full distance in a 15-rounds bout with Frank _ Taylor, of Auckland, to win on points. Ihe judges were not unanimous, but the referee awarded the decision to l Green. Tim decision was not well taken by the house, many of tlie audience favouring Taylor and showing it in no mistakable manner. Griffiths and McCarty have challenged the winner. In "a ten-round match Kid Smith (Port Ahuriri) lost to George Johnston (Hastings). Johnston lias received a challenge from J. Cotterill (Perotie).
