LEOKIE BEATS RADFORD. (By Telegrapn—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 7. Johnnie Leckie (8.131) beat Norman Radford (Etngland, 8.13) in a match for a purse- of £l5O in the municipal theatre to-night. The referee stopped the fight in the fourteenth round, Radford being out on his feet after a heavy right and left to the jaw. The Englishman was- hopelessly outclassed and only by holding on tenaciously was he able to last so long. Leckie -never seemed fully extended. GREEN v. TAYLOR. NAPIER. Nov. 7. Teddy Green, Australian champion fly-weight, went the full distance in a 15-rounds bout with Frank _ Taylor, of Auckland, to win on points. Ihe judges were not unanimous, but the referee awarded the decision to l Green. Tim decision was not well taken by the house, many of tlie audience favouring Taylor and showing it in no mistakable manner. Griffiths and McCarty have challenged the winner.
