The entire Communist Party has been thrown into a ferment by a; fresh purge which broadly consists of removing from' tteir posts aP party officials showing a,. conciliatory disposition toward the Right Wing of the .Opposition. . It was understood that the victims would l not be expelled from the party, but many of those dismissed have now bean expelled, including some previious!v laxuelf'ed and .re-admit ted after the recantation dismissals. In some, towns a wholesale purge has begun in Government establishments. Two hundred have been discharged at Archangel alone as untrustworthy, being suspected of anti-revolutionairy .sympathies.
