TRUCKS DERAILED.
ACCIDENT ON MAIN TRUNK LINE (By Telegraph—Press Association.) MAR TON, Oct. 9. When the northbound goods train ■which leaves Marton at lour o’clock was nearing Mangaonoho station about six o’clock last evening a truck became derailed, and before the engine crew were aware, eight others had followed. The train was brought to a standstill before much damage was done to the track. A breakdown gang worked hard to clear the track, but it was found necessary to delay both northbound expresses at Marton. The ordinary express which arrived at 6 o’clock, was heid until 2.38 this morning, being joined with the Limited, which arrived at 11 p.m_ The service is now normal.
