.SPECIAL "MEETING OP COUNCIL. ((From -Our Own -Correspondent.) A -special meeting of the Elthaui Borough Council was held last night 'to confirm the special resolution necessary in connection with the rates to be struck for this year. The.'total rate will show £7OO reduction and is the second reduction made during the past three years. Mr 'A. X. Turner was granted permission to erect a curb-side pump at the garage for the supply of motor spirit. Mr T. H. Ham applied for permission to erect an additional -shop window over his own' right of way.. The. Mayor cx-plained that there ■were no difficulties in the way of. granting the permit and moved accordingly and the motion was carried.
