STEAMER ASHORE.
KINROSS ON CATO ISLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AVELLINGTON, Oct. 8. Radio signals intercepted at 11.30 p.m. on Sunday indicate that the steamer Kinross is ashore on a Cato Island reef. The ship is making no water and an endeavour was to be made to refloat her a.t daylight. The Kinross is a steamer of 5234 tons.
