ELTHAM v. HIGH SCHOOL, High School played a friendly matclr with Eltham on Saturday and were beaten by 130 to 111. In each team the bulk of the runs were scored by two batsmen. Eltham batted first, Donnelly (77) and J. Gower (20) showing capital form. School replied with 111 and when 67 was reached before the first wicket fell, looked to have a fairly easy win. Barker (45) and Stnrrock (32) batted brightly and showed bright and attractive cricket, but of the rest Thomas (20) alone did any good. For Eltham, Donnelly took five wickets for 34, Ryburn two for 8. For School, Pacey secured four for 6 runs, while Stevens two for 24, Whitehead two for 30, Barker and Sturrock one each, were the best of the other bowlers.
