'■ During the voyage of the auxiliary schooner Piri, which arrived to-dav: from G rev-mouth', two seamen named. Laing and West, were washed, overboard by a hueg wave. on the evening of September 25. There- was no chance of -Lowering .a boat, but Captain'AY-att manoeuvred the schooner to give the men smooth water, on the -lee side. They were aboard again a f ter 17 minutes’ immersion..
