With Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith and Captain Chandler, the Aero Club instructor- at the controls, the Southern Cross made a spectacular flight at a low altitude over Blenhein Mr Litchfield and Mr McWilliams were in their places in the cabin. Later Captain Buckley and FlightLieutenant Ulm went, up in a Bristol fighter. The probabilities no.w are that the Tasman flight will not take place till towards the close of next week.
