WAIRARAPA’S EASY WIN.

CUNDY'Si SCORING RECORD (By Telegraph—Press Association.) MAKTERTON, Aug. 11. The first Raiifu-rly Shield challenge match since Wairarapa won the shield from Panterlb-Uiry was played at Miasterton 'this afternoon., between Wairiar rapa and Rush. Wairarapa. kicked off against the sun. There- was l-ittle of note in the opening -stages, except for a couple of Wai-rara-pa. hack movements, which duCed some territorial advantage. Bush forwards assumed superiority for a short period till Jury altered tile eomplexion of affairs by a good run. Twice Wairarapa hacks broke- away, but twice ‘Rtrinvfellow dropped Choke’s passes. Up till now play had been uninteresting, a notable feature being the play of the Bush forwards, Mahoney in particular ,shining. Bush continued to do most of the -attacking, with an cocas*-' ional Wairarapa spurt. From scrambling play Herbert sent to Hands, who got across and Udy converted. Wairarapa d Bush ° Wairarwp-ai was playing ragged ioot-ba-lil and Bush- forwards dominated the play. Bartosh -put Bush ahead mill a ti-y f-rouni a forward rush and Udy failed with the kick.
