COMPANY" IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION. (By Telegraph—lress Association.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 11. An Auckland company, Embassy Theatres, Limited, went into voluntary liquidation yesterday. The company was formed three months ago and two months ago opened what w'as formerly the National T'he'atro, Queen St., with a revue company from Australia. The original capital was £4500, divided among 15 shareholders, all of whom will lose heavily. Liabilities amounting to about £9OOO were assumed at the outset. One creditor, said to bo a debenture holder, is still, it. is said, owed £SOOO. The creditors yesterday decided to take over control and run a cinema, pending other arrangements being made.

COLLISION IN AUCKLAND STATION.

AUCKLAND, A up;. 11. About 9 a.in. to-day an engine from a suburban train was returning to the city engine sheds while a rake of trucks was being shunted from another line towards the goods yards. On each engine a display of a green flag on a diamond crossing -was taken to mean that the line was clear. The engine hit the leading waggon in the centre, there was a tearing, crashing sound as the waggon and, its load toppled over, and tho heavy engine jumped the rail®. The fireman on the colliding engine jumped off the footplate just as tire smash, occurred. The engine and two waggons were damgaed and a long V waggon was hurled off the track and overturned. An increase of a penny per dozen in the price which the -Government has guaranteed the New Zealand poultry producers for eggs exported to the London market this sea-son was urged by a. deputation of poultry farmers which waited on the Hon. A. D. McLeod this morning. The deputation pointed out that the guaranteed’ price ef 2s 2d a dozen eggs in London would return Is 3A cl a dozen to the New Zealand poultry producers, which wnis a penny less than thov hoped for.
