BOY SCOUTS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Tlie Klthain Scout Committee met on Thursday. Those present were Messdames Cover and Burke, Messrs J. J. Bridget- (chairman), R. H. Cover, Rev. Avery, and tlie secretary, Mr. R. Harrison. The scoutmaster (Mr. L. Haycock) wrote resigning his position owing to leaving the district. The resignation was accepted, and the secretary was instructed to write conveying the committee's thanks. The chairman said that be greatly •regretted not being able to arrange a satisfactory parade of the scouts and cubs on the occasion of the GovernorGeneral’s visit, owing to a large number of the members attending various schools, hut he felt that it was better to have no parade than to have a small attendance on such an occasion. The matter of appointing a now scoutmaster was held over. It was decided to arrange, some competition amongst the cubs, who were dojiio- well under Cubmaster Townsend. The aiinual meeting will he hold during the last week of this month.
