ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL
' (From Our Own Correspondent.) The fortnightly euchre and dance held on Wednesday night in the Tokaora hall proved very successful. About 70 couples took the floor, and 50 sat down to the card games. With 13 games Mr. McDonald was the winner of the men’s prize, Mr. H. B Taylor being second with 11 games. The consolation was annexed by Mr. O. Leydon with, two games'. The ladies first prize was won by Miss Iv. Freyne, who registered 12 games'. Mrs. Joyce was second with 11 games, and Mrs. II B. Taylor, who won five games, was awarded‘the consolation prize'. Mr. Les. Barr acted as M.C. for the dance programme. . Tim committee regrets that owing to an unavoidable delay in the departure of the Hus from Hawera disappoint'merit was caused to a number of visitors, who had contemplated proceeding to the social.
