The lectures were followed with great interest by those present, and at their conclusion a general discussion took nin e. Mr. Townsend thanked Mr. Turkman on behalf of the members for the trouble he had taken to m'ake his lecture so interesting and instructive by means of diagrams and apparatus, and proposed a hearty vote of thanks, which was carried by acclamation .
