SESSION AT PALMERSTON NORTH (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON -N. July 31. The quarterly session.of the Supreme Court opened this morning before Mr. Justice Smith. His Honour congratulated the district upon the lightness of the criminal calendar, there being only three indictments against two accused persons. True bills were returned against-Robert McConkey, alleged indecent assault on girls, aged thirteen and fifteen respectively, and against Norman Ernest Stanley, allegedly sending a letter containing a threat to kill. When one indictment against Mc-C-onkey was proceeded with, His Honour made an order forbidding the publication of the evidence. CRIMINAL 'SESSION AT AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, July 31. 'The quarterly sitting -of the -Supreme Court criminal sessions opened to-day. In his charge to the Grand Jury Mr. Justice Blair made no comment on the list of 0.7 hills beyond the brief mention of the individual cases. TJHE "WELLINGTON 'SESSION. WELLINGTON, July 31. The criminal sessions of the Supreme Court 'opened to-day, Mr. Justice Sim presiding. -Only two -ea'ses were presented, one against a woman named Marion Koerbin of attempting to murder her husband iby poisoning; the other against Robert Rapley, who was charged with unlawful 'carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of Sixteen. In the -latter ease the Grand July found no bill.

T.he Grand Jury returned a ture bill in the Koerbin 'ease. Evidence is being given on the same lines as in the lower court.
