ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
DIED OF INJURIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 30. Harry Collins, aged 44, a married man, died at the hospital oil' Sunday. He was admitted on July 21 with a fractured leg sustained m a collision on Penrose railway bridge between a motor lorry and a. motor cycle, which Collins was riding. MOTOR CAR OVERTURNS TAUMARUNUI, July 30. As the result of a car driven by G. Thurston overturning at a washed-out culvert on Worrall’s hill near Tawmarunui on Saturday, Mrs. Thurston was admitted to hospital suffering from a severe scale wound. She is progressing favourably. FATAL FALL FROM HORSE. GISBORNE, July 30. Heremara Tahumatai was found on the road near Whangara. on Saturday evening with a fractured skull, having evidentlv been thrown from his horse. .He died at the hospital yesterday. Another Maori with whom the deceased had been riding reported the mishap to a roadman and then galloped away and had not since been located. FARMHAND INJURED. NAPIER. July 30. Holmes Edge, a farmhand, was admitted to hospital with a bullet wound in his head. ’Hie condition is critical.
