MASQUERADE AT NGUTUWERA. FANCY DRESS DANCE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) On Thursday evening a fancy dross dance ivas field in the. Ngutuwera Hall, and in spite, of adverse vyeather .conditions earlier in the day a large numher of dancers assembled. The hall was prettily decorated with streamers and greenery, and with the gay colours of the fancy dresses ,made a . very gay sight. ■ .’’V.yd.f' Prizes for the. best fancy costumes' were won by: Ladies, Miss Iv. How (Ruination); gents, Mr. Hooper (White Leghorn Booster). A waltzing competition was won by: Mr., Lett and partner. - • - . - Music was provide,d by Mrs. Muiv phy, and vocal items, were given by Mrs. Mutchey and Air. Huglisou. Extras were .played by,,Miss Warner and Miss Fitzgibbon. _ Owing to tlic success of this dance the cost of the electrical installation hi the hall can now..be cleared. This says, a great deal for the hard work,achieved by Mr. Hi Boswell and his band of willing workers.,; . Miss-' Hurley (Cowgirl), Miss Sinclair (Checkers). ’Miss l "Warner (Follv), Miss Turner (Night). Miss How (Hawaiian Girl), Messrs. Cox (Baker), Hooper, (Chicken). Turner (Jockey). D.
