The selectors, Messrs E. A. Bruce and V. J. Henderson, made the following choice: Pull-back: Muschanip (Waitara). Three-quarters: Kopiha (Normanby), Thompson (Midliirst), Budd ('Manaia). ' ■Five-eighths : Mqoiiby (Okato), Cleaver (iMatapu). Half : Johnston (West Eind). Rover: W. J. Seagar (Pihama). Forwards: Tate (Waitara), Burke Inglewood), Bell (Midhirst), Richardson (Stratford), Manning (Central), Utiger (Central), Page (Fitzroy). Emergencies: • Forwards, Fastier (Stratford), Reader (Douglas), Hardgrave (Central) ; backs, Sullivan (Stratford Convent), Pullen (Fitzroy). PLAY-OFF FIXTURES. At a meeting of the central executive of the Taranaki Primary Schools’ Rugby Union, held at Stratford on Saturday, it was decided that the senior grade play-off between the north champions, Waitara, and the south champions, Stratford, should take place not later than August 11 at Inglewood. Final arrangements were left to the headmasters of the schools concerned^ The final for the McLeod Shield junior match was set down for August 11. The Bayly Scholarship sports, it was decided, would be held at Bltham on September 13. Messrs Train and Henderson were appointed to l take the schools’ representative team to Hamilton. It was decided to take the boys by train, leaving on August 20 and returning on August 23." In the final match of the primary schools’ central junior competition. Toko defeated Stratford Convent by three, points to nil. This match places Midhirst as winners of the group. The four groups in the south are to play to decide the team to play the north champions for the McLeod Shield 1 .
