Won by a neck, with three and a half lengths between second and third. Time, 2.55. TRIAL HANDICAP. Of 100 sovs. Six furlongs. 2 Abisogne 1 4 Bold Front 2 1 Dishonoured 3 Scratched: Otene, Sun Yat Sen. Won by two lengths, with two lengths between second and third; Time, 1.18. WAIKANAE HANDICAP. Of 165 sovs. One mile. 9 Otfoon ... 1 1 Cool Card 2 2 Wanderlust 3 All started. Won by a head, with a neck between -second and third. Time, 1.47 2-5. SECOND HACK FLAT. Of 130 sovs. Seven furlongs. 2 Singleton 1 5 First- Prince 2 5 Tea Lady 3 Scratched: Rakaroa, Cherry Girl, Toka, Fall o’ the Year, and Eostra. A’on by three-quarters of a- length, with two lengths between second and third. Time, 1.33 2-5.

LIVERPOOL CUP. (Austru'ian Press Association—United Service.) Received 12.15 p.m. to-day. LONDON, July 27. The Liverpool Cup resulted : Playboy 1, Delius 2, Regalo 3. Eight started. Won by a- neck, with one and a hall lengths between second and third.

HAWERA TRACK NOTES. (By “Limited.”) The weatner was gloriously fine foi training operations- this- morning, with an the tracks except No. 1 plough in capital order-. The fast work was. all accomplished on the trial grass, .while the sand; was need for strong pace work, trotting and cantering on No. 2 plough, with the youngsters exercising oh the two-year-old thick.

W. Pine was- first to work, and spilt Troilus and Calamine half a mile in 52J sees., Troilus showing to advantage. E. Mnrt-ag.li gave Buster Out a sprint over a similar distance by herself, which she did comfortably in 53J®ec. M. Conway worked Gasn-apiper on the sand. San Fera on the imsiide grass, and Calaipa-t on the two-year-old track. Riisox and Royal Mint started off from the six-furlong disc, being picked up by Ca.pt. Gazcly at the five furlongs'. Bisox and. Ca.pt. Gazely were together at the half-mile, the former -asserting herself from there on and finishing well in fiout of the other pair. Bisox’is se-cticna-l times were* Two furlongs in 26sec?., three in 39secs., half-mile in 52seos., the full journey occupying 1.19'.

Bright .-Glow worked nicely on the sand., and Mend ip looking particularly well ,also went a couple of rounds of pace work on this track. R. Brough’s tw-year-olds Cool Mint and Egeria, were given useful pace work. The' Peach Brandy yearling in this- stable lias been absent from thp tracks for a while owing to conta'acting a cold, but is now on the- improve. P'aitonu arid S'aggitarius were responsible for a good gallop over five fur-'ongi-st, the pair running the first two furlongs in 25), three in 38) and registering 1.51 for the full distance and finishing together. Paitonu galloped more generously than -usual, a-ndi should strip well tor the national -meeting. Saggitt-ariu.s is a. good traick house -and looks like proving useful. Kahn and March gaflope-d the last three furlongs -of a -round of the sand at a- good clip, finishing to-gstlier. Lady Desmond lias made her re-ap-pearance on the track's again, and is being pottered about in her -preliminary work.

Re.remoa.na is also being given just exercise enough to keep hint from becoming gross. J. Fryer, who has been laid Tip with influenza for some weeks, was out on the tracks again this morning, and received the congratulations of his fellowtrainees on his recovery.
