STOCKHOLM, July 26

The. Oitta di, Milano met a. sullen rereeption -at Narvik. Many watched the arrival of the vessel, -but there were mo s-igns of a demonstration or tribute. Norwegian feeling, however, is bitter over the fate of M-a-lmgren and -the disappearance o-f Amundsen. This showed itself when the Oitta, di Milano was mooring. A, rope was thrown on to the quay w/tli a, request to- make it fast. No one ashore offered any assistance, and a member of the crew had to jump ashore while Norwegian -sailors looked on in icy silence. There was not the slightest sign of greeting and after the gangway was lowered ait armed Italian kept watch on deck while Norwegian police kept guard ashore. In the face of the crowd of silent bystanders the Italia survivors resumed t-heir journey to Sweden in a, special coach .brought -alongside the Milano, whence came about 2.) persons. All looked well- except General. Nobile, -who appeared tired, and was- limping. Ceeoiom, whose ■ leg was bandaged, was using a. crutch, but no one was carried into the coach so- it- i> unknown if Mariano accompanied the others eti route to Stockholm. A great crowd watched the departure, but- again there was complete silence.
