OPERA HOUSE, TO-NIGHT. “JESSE JAMES ’ 5 “Jesse J'ames, ’ ’ .which opens fit the Opera House, Hawera, to-night (Wednesday) is not a Western, ns the name is ordinarily used. It is the authentic record of one of the most amazing characters in American history. It has dash, marvellous horsemanship, and some hair-raising stunts, but it also has a dramatic story as beautifully told as “The Vanishing American." Here is the true story of Jesse James — history’s most colourful, misunderstood character! Loved by many, feared by most, but admired by all, the original cowboy cavalier has come to life again! and Ered Thomson is in the saddle — iii the best role he’s ever had! There is a full supporting programme, which includes Chapter 4 of “The Collegians,’’ Topical News Heel, Cartoon, Scenic and Comedy.
Owing to an error in despatch the management of the Opera House regret that the ~ First National attraction “The Patent Leather Hid" will not be screened to-night. The programme advertised for showing at the Grand Theatre will be screened at the Opera House. The programme includes the Paramount picture “Jesse James," starring Fred Thomson, and chapter four of “The Collegians," Oaxette, Cartoon and Comedy.
