AUSTRALIAN TRADE TREATY.
INJUSTICE TO CANADA. CABINET MINISTER’S CRITICISM. (Australian I’rcss Association—United Service.) OTTAWA, J uly 22. ’ A report from Osliawa, Ontario, states that the provincial Minister or Agriculture, Mr. John Martin, of Ontario, addressing a picnic on Saturday at which the Dominion Conservative leader, Mr. Bennett, also spoke, ©micised the Australian treaty, saying it. worked grave injustice in Canada. Saskatchewan had played a prominent Part in protesting against the treaty, and it could no longer be -said that-’ Ontario or the east were forcing the issue. One of the principal reasons for the Conservative victory in British Columbia was the fact that fruit and vegetable growers and farmers in that province were finding it .difficult to make a ljving.
