Miners’ Fe.ieia.tion yesterday at .Llandudno rejected a. motion to condemn the discussions between the. general council of the Tract s Union Congress and a group ol the employers, 'associated with Lord Aicfeheti. for peace in industry. The voting was 192,000 in favour of the motion, and 309,000 against. The motion declared that peace in industry was incompatible with trade unionism. it expressed the infcransigeant policy of Air Cook, who led the miners in the disastrous strike of 1926, and its .rejection i.s regarded a.s a signal defeat of that policy.
