ROSE BOWL SERIES
TO-MORROW ’/S HANDICAPS,
The second of the -season’s cycle road races conducted by the Hawoia Amateur Athletic Club for the -Cambria Bose Bowl is to take place tomorrow afternoon, starting .from the Hawera -Post Office office at 2 o’clock. Sixteen entries have been received, including those of two riders 'from New Plymouth and one from Wanganui. Handicaps have been declared as follow bv Mr A. L. Palmer: W. Stoning, C. Griffin, scr; J. Dykes, 15-sec; H. J. C. Kelson, 11. Dustin (Wanganui), 1 min; I. 11. Hutchinson (New Plymouth) 2; —. Heatley (New Plymouth) R. Rumble. 2?,; A. 'G. Moore, -G. Ingram, 3; C. Walker, F. Brawn, 3‘J; R. Kelson, 11. F. Seaton, 4; S. W. Kelson, F. Wasley, 5. As was the case with tne first race won ’off 3min. on June 20 by A. G. Moore, To-morrow ’-s contest, will be over a distance of about 17 miles, the ccurse being via -Normanby to Okaiawa and returning via the Scott and Mam South Roads to Hawera. Points for the trophy count 0,5, 4,3, 2, and 1 for the first six home and 3,2 and 1 for the fastest times. The first four to finish also receive trophies ranging in value from £2 -2s to 10s, -while a gold medal goes to the rider registering the fastest time. The riding time of the winner (A. G -Moore) in the June race was oOnnn. 30'se'c. The ..fastest time was 47min oO see, registered bv W. Stoning, who finished third off scratch Points notched for the trophv were as follow: W.
