MEETING OF SOCIETY

Ihei regular monthly meeting, of the above society was held on Wednesday, July 11. 1928, at 11 atm., t-heip being present: Messrs J. W. Deem (chairman!, K. Tarrant, P. Morrcse.y, J. JJ. Richards. W. H. Were, E. Maa-fell, T. 1. Grierson (farm manager). The sub-commit Lee reported that it had not vet effected the purchaisei of bulls. The chairman reported in respect of suitably bred stock in the: Wayonly district, which- lie anticipated.comd be acquired at a reasonable figure.—ft was resolved that l-he chairman lie empowered to make the purchase in respect of tilts stock referred' to by him. It was resolved that two aged cows lie disposed of, alfiO that not less than 12 ca-lves be reared and that the manager be- empowered to dispose of surplus calves.

Statement of accounts for 12 months period ending June 30, 1928, wiaisi presented and comparison made, with' the previous, year, a satisfactory financial position being disclosed. Tire annual meeting of members' will be held in the Parish Hall, Stratford, on Saturday, August 4, at 1 p.m. Messrs- E. Marfell and P. MoiiPesey, guarantor representatives, and. Messrs lv. Tarrant and- W. H. Were, members’ representatives’, retire by rotation, and are eligible for re-election. Nominations! close with the secretary on Tuesday, Julv 31, 1928. The chairman reported in connection with the matter of nitrogenous topdresising, and it was .resolved that facilities be granted for experiment and, demonstration in this connection.
