INDUSTRIAL CO-OPERATION.
CONFERENCES WITH EMPLOYERS SUPPORTED BY RATLWAYMEN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 3.., At the National Union of Railwaymen's congress at Bristol to-day, Mr J. H. Thomas strongly supported the policy of the Trade Union Congress in continuing discussions on industrial cooperation between representative employers headed by Lord -Mel'chet’t, formerly .Sir Alfred M'ond, and trade unionists. Mr Thomas said a /policy iof co-opera-tion with employers similar to that ,pr'e. sen tod by Lord Melchott to the committee for discussion had /been and Was being followed with success on .the railways and he welcomed the extension of the principle. A resolution condemning the action of the Trade Union Congress in proceeding with the negotiation was heavily defeated.
