VARICOSE VEINS.
NEW TREATMENT DISCOVERED. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) —United Service). LONDON, July 4. Medicall men /report a new discovery for the treatment of varicose veins, Obviating the necessity for surgical renoval. It consists of the injection of fluid which causes mild inflammation aside the vein and converts the swollen vessel into a thin, fibrous cord. This gives no further trouble. Various substances are used in the injection, .including glucose, sodium salicylate and quinine. A large proportion of (permanent cures are reported.
