CHILDREN’S FANCY DRESS BALL

GREAT VARIETY OF. COSTUMES

The annual children’s fancy dress ball in the Town Hall at Kaponga on Friday night was very successful, .and the result reflected great credit to the organisers, the Anglican Chuiroh Ladies’ Guild.

The decorations of hall and supper room in streamers and femsi were, in good taste and added to the pleasing effect imparted) by the many-coloured costumes of the. juvenile merry-makers, of whom; about forty eoupleis took the floor. Music for the dances was supplied by Mrs I. Evans and/ Mr A. Melville ached! as M.C. Dancing commenced at 8 p.m. and continued for an hour and a half, when the children were regaled at isupper provided by the Ladies’ Guild. The floor was given over to the waiting adults on the .children’s retirement to the supper-room, dancing continuing until the small hours to the strains of Cohem’s Orchestra'.
