James Albert Michael McMahon, alias Albert Victor James George Henry AlcWarren pleaded g,uilty today to having committed bigamy, and was committed to the, Supreme Court for sentence. A SERIES OF CHARGES. WELLINGTON, June 20. William John Thomas Whitley, aged 36, pleaded guilty to forging and uttering two cheques inA'olving £24 Is, and was committed for sentence on these charges. He also pleaded guilty to obtaining £l4 7s at Port, A wanui by means of a valueless, cheque and with the theft of a. pair of binoculars and a tent end. The hearing of these charges was adjourned sine die. THEFT CASES AT DUNEDIN. DUNEDIN, June 20. Lovell Paul Riaisk, .aged eighteen, on several charges of theft avus sentenced to two yeans’ den tent ion. at a Borstal institution. Thomas Crawford Young, or theft of boots from a shop, AA'as sentenced to three months’ imprisonment.
