DAMAGES AWARDED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 19. Robert Davies, who sought £BOO damages from the Sir William. Ari'ol Company, Ltd., for injuries received to hw hand caused by an accident while noisting .steel bars with a. crane, was awarded £520 general damages and £SO special damages. Coleman. today accepted a suggestion from Rotarluns that Captain Kingsford Smith and party be invited to visit Gisborne in tine course of liisi Dominion tour. It was pointed, out that a landing ground was available, and that the citizens were anxious to entertain the aviators. FIRE AT DUNEDIN. DUNEDIN, June 19. An old, dilapidated wooden building containing two storeys, situated at the corner of Manse and High Streets, formerly known as the Occidental Hotel, but later occupied by Mann’s news agency, Wilson’s boot depot, the all night pharmacy. Ball’s marble bar. and Cameron’s boardinghouse. was partially gutted by fire early this morning. The building had long been recognised as a death trap, and it was fortunate that the board-ing-house had lieen vacated only yesterday morning.
