Colin Coryton was charged at the Alagistrate’s' Court to-day with obtaining.a Rolls Boyce motor car valued at .C9SO from David Wythe, the local agent, by means! of falsely representing that he’hadi a letter of credit from. Coutts Bank, Loudon. After making the deal Ctorytou took Wythe, to Rotorua as a, guest for a week’s fishing. While at Rotorua he obtained money from Mrs Dowry’, for which he was sentenced to, months'’ imprisonment at Napier. The, magistrate dismissed Wyllie’.s charge, saying that the agent was evidently misled by the accused’s; English, his public school: accent and his manner. The car was parted with before the accused, hail actually made mention of the letter of credit or the proposed method cif financing the purchase.
