INCREASED STATURE.
JAPANESE SCHOOL CHILDREN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) Received 11.45 a.m. to-dav. FREEMANILE, June 19. Admiral Kotayshi, of the Japanese training squadron, which was visiting Australia said that the sons and daughters of Japanese are much, taller than their parents. School children for the past five' or six years have discarded the Japanese kimono for European, clress, and they now sat upon chairs to eat dr read, instead of the old-time custom of squaring on mats. ' Prince Takamatsu, brother of the Etmpero-r, is accompanying the fleet. He is twenty-six years of age, and expressed the hope that the cordial relations between Japan and Australia would ailways be continued.
